How can i get my hair to look as healthy and straight as this?

Hi! ok i have fairly straight hair with a slight wave so i straighten it on the bottom parts....but after an hour or so my hair looks like i never brushed it and looks frazzled... (my top layers are shorter then the bottom layers which may be the problem and i'm trying to grow them out) my question is how can i have my hair look like in this picture (healthy, shiny, straight) and have it stay like that the whole day? do i have to have it all one length? thank you

Try using a really good shampoo and conditioner (I really love Paul Mitchell - it smells good and it leaves your hair feeling silky smooth). Also use a product while your hair is wet that will add shine to your hair. Then straighten your hair and add more product again to give it moisture. Also maybe getting your hair trimmed would get rid of any damaged hair and would help you get healthier looking hair. How can i get my hair to look as healthy and straight as this?
No, it does not have to be one length but for your described hair type it needs to be longer to add weight and hold out the frizz/curls. I would have you beautician do a heavy gloss treatment which is the secret to the hair in shampoo commercials! Your beautician should also add really long layers without over framing the face. Also, before you style add a product to protect your hair from the heat as over time it will kill your chances of having hair like this if you do not protect your hair. Also, drinking lots of water helps with most everything.
okay, so i'd get a better straightener.

maybe after straightening it, use some hair spray.

and i use garnier frutis sleek and shine.

or maybe herbal essences...that blue stuff thats like coconut and flowers or whatever.

oooh! or get some stuff to put in damp hair that makes is shiny and smooth.

i have brilliant brunette runway straight smoothing milk.
Aveda Hang Straight is the best. Its expensive but you only use a little bit. Also Redken 12 Align works well to straighten but i find that it makes my hair a little crusty/stiff. Don't forget to trim your hair even though you are growing it out because split ends will never lay straight and shiny.
Have you tried a leave in conditioner? Try using Giovanni's Smooth As Silk treatments once a week. You can probably find them at a health food store like Whole Foods. It works great for my hair and I like the fact that it's a more natural product.
Even the most damaged frazzled hair can look like this if you have the right tools.

First get a good flat iron, it will make all the difference, and a good iron WON'T damage your hair, it will actually help to seal moisture in the hair. I always recommend CHI, I have worked with alot of products both professional and not, and I love their stuff. Garnier fructis sleek and shine is good, but Fructis hydra-liss is much better if you can find it. John Freida frizz ease is also my fav non salon product for sleeking hair. try using the color glosses regularly.

Also use a smoothing balm and silicone shine serum like Farouk Silk Therapy after towel drying your hair...it's good for your skin too.

Dry your hair and then use small sections with the flat iron. the skinnier the section you make, the better your result will be. I find that making vertical sections instead of horizontal ones (starting from the back) is easier when doing it yourself.

When you're finished, use a shine spray, Garnier fructis has a very good one

The layers don't really matter. Here is a pic of me...lots of layers, perfectly straightened hair for days...regardless of the weather...and believe it or not my hair is super damaged from bleaching and coloring for years http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=833006%26amp;l=fbe79%26amp;id=566565690

I have naturally very curly hair so anything's possible!
