I have super straight hair, that I even straighten more in the mornings before school to get rid of any extra waves.. but i am pretty sick of that style. I never do anything besides leave my hair down because I'm never sure of the possibilites.. i dont even ponytail it because im not sure how to get it how i want it.
anyways: any tips of any kind of styling i could do with my straight hair to make it more exciting?

You can put your hair half up in a ponytail and leave the rest down. It gives kind of a sophisticated look. You can also get a jaw clip and take the top half of your hair, and messily just twist it, and put the clip in. It's messy, yet cute! curl the ends with your straightener, add some hair spray for some volume
gloss up ur hair
well my sugestion is that youu should play around with your hair such as bangs are really cute with straight hair and curls in the ends that would look so gorgeous on you. :D
put a ';poof'; on your head!
do a messy ponytail... the less perfect, the better
cut your hair shorter, and flip it out
side ponies are coming back...
use texturizer pomade/wax and ';play'; with your hair

What you could do is get a really good straightener like a chi, and curl the ends in or out to add a little definition. You can also use the straightner to make your hair wavy. Maybe also you could get side bangs and they will make a lot of different face shapes look really good.
