How do you blow-dry hair straight?

My hair has a natural wave to it, and for the last couple of years i've either had it permed in big curls, or straighten with a very good flat iron. But lately I find that I need to get more sleep, and the flat iron takes a lot of time out of my morning routine. Do you guys have any instructions on how to blow-dry hair straight, so as to get the same effect as straightening it?

Thanks :)How do you blow-dry hair straight?
okay here are some steps:

1.) wash your hair and put conditioner in it

2.) towel dry a bit

3.) spray some protective heat spray in your hair so it won't get damaged

4.) get a round brush with bristles on it and a good hair dryer with a nozzle on the end

5.) wind a lock of hair horizontally around the round brush.

6.) turn on the hair dryer and press it to the brush.

7.) drag the brush downwards, keeping the hair dryer pressed to your hair, therefore moving it down with the brush

8.) you might have to repeat this a few times

9.) repeat steps 5-8 for the other sections of hair.

10.) after you're done, spray some holding hairspray or straightening hairspray to eliminate frizz.

hope this helped! :)

btw for this method, you'll have to have wet hair.

straightening with a flat iron is actually faster but if you like it this way then go for it!How do you blow-dry hair straight?
Use a brush and brush it straight while you are drying.
use a brush/round brush and pull really tight when you're blow drying it.
you could do it the night before?

I cheat and use the Conair Infinti Hair designer, it's a hair dryer with a brush type attachment on the end http://www.conair.com/infiniti-hair-desi鈥?/a> it works really well, I have very coarse curly hair. I know a lot of people who use a round brush and a regular hair dryer but I just do not have the patience for that. Anyway the infiniti takes a few tries to get used to but it works great and it's very fast, you can get it at just about any big box store (wal-mart, target etc.)
you have to get a round brush and just like brush it straight as you blow dry where you're brushing. search it on youtube, there's probably a tutorial.
Yes.

1. Grab some locks of hair (not to thick)

2. Take the hair dryer and put the metal part on the top of the lock of the hair you just grabbed.

3.Move the hair dryer up and down.

4.While pulling on the hair, have the hair dryer in your hand moving it up and down.
Use a paddle brush and pull the hair with it as you blow dry down.
1 To straighten hair, begin by shampooing, conditioning and towel-drying hair.

Step 2Apply a heat protectant product to your hair, paying special attention to the ends (Chi Products like Silk Infusion is EXCELLENT for straighting hair every woman should have this product)

Step3 Place a quarter-size dollop of straightening balm in your palm. Rub your palms together to distribute the product over your hands, then massage it evenly through hair.

Step4 Comb through your hair with your fingers while gently blow-drying it on a low setting. This removes excess water.

Step5 Pull your hair into three sections, two at the sides and one at the back. Clip the two sides up.

Step6 Select a small portion of the hair from the unclipped section to straighten.

Step7Using a thick, round brush and beginning at the roots, gently pull the brush through the hair to the ends while blow-drying it. Pull the hair away from your head, stretching and straightening it as you go.

Step8 First pull the brush through the underside of your hair so that you expose it directly to the heat of the dryer. Once that area is mostly dry, switch to the top of the hair.

Step9 Keep the tension consistent and evenly distribute heat over the section of hair you're working on. This ensures uniform hair texture and prevents overdrying of certain areas.

Step10 Once that portion of hair is straightened, continue selecting and blow-drying small portions until that section is dry and straight.

Step11 Repeat the process on the two other sections to straighten your entire head of hair.
i have rlly rlly rlly curl hair n dis is wat i do....

every sunday i wash it and blow dry it then flat iron it and rap it up at night and in the morning and the rest of the week its nice and straight
use a wide brush or a round brush and when your blow drying it blow down-wards so it won't cause frizz.

also when blow drying put your hair in sections; its so much faster.
(you should use one of those brushes that have plastic bristles instead of the other kinds)

Step 1: set your brush so that the bristles are facing the sky and the plastic oval/circle/square (whatever shape your brush is) is facing your shoulders.

Step 2: face the opening of your dryer (where the air comes out) 1-10 inches apart from your brush.

Step 3: While the heat is coming out of the dryer, slowly brush your hair until you get to the tip, then start on another section of your hair.

TIP: Make sure the dryer follows the brush :]
