What model/brand of hair straightener/curler would you recommend?

I have naturally straight hair and would like to get a curler to give it some waves. Since you can use a straightener to curl as well though, would it be smarter to get a curler instead? How difficult is curling with a straightener?

I'm also asking for recommendations of straighteners and curlers. I'm looking for something effective, with different levels of heat, safe and easy to use and below $100.

Thank youWhat model/brand of hair straightener/curler would you recommend?
Hey :-)

(Jenifer Aniston uses the straightener Im about to reccomend - honestly she does, first I doubted it but so many websites say she does! -And other celebrities too.)

Okay, I have been researching hair straighteners for like a month. You need to decide for yourself but here are the top brands: Sedu and ghd. I know you may have NEVER heard of ';Sedu'; because it is sold exclusively through the world's largest online beauty store. Folica.com

You need to look for one with:

*** Toumaline technology (hair naturally produces positive ions, but toumaline produces extra negative ions and therefore smooths the hair cuticle and means less damage is done)

*** So look for a ceramic (NOT cermaic coated, it has to be all ceramic) plate straightener with Tourmaline infused into the plates.

I e-mailed ghd and they do NOT use toumaline (t-or-ma-line). Also they do not have adjustable heat settings so it remains at a constant high temperature which is NOT good for all hair types.

***So look for adjustable temperature.

*** A good straightener (or ';flat iron';) goes to minimum 200 degrees Celcius.

*** A swivel cord so that it doesn't get tangled and annoy you while straightening.

-I have heard that the brand 'CHI' is VERY BAD, some have CAUGHT on FIRE!! (Seriosuly). People just tell you to buy them because they are popular, not good quality!

Check out Sedu straighteners (which have all the above features) at: http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Flat__360_1.h鈥?/a>

All the best :-) -I'm not sure how much it costs because it depends on which contry you live in! But check out the website - the Sedu straighteners have great reviews! What model/brand of hair straightener/curler would you recommend?
I use one called ';Logo'; every day that cost around 20 bucks. I've had it over a year and it works REALLY well. bought it at Target.
the only thing i can think of is a ghd and thats over a 100
