How to get loose, pretty beach waves with already curly hair.?

I have curly/wavy hair. My hair tends to be poofy if i don't put any products in it. How can I have loose, non poofy beach waves without a lot of heat/work? I always find beach waves for straight hair, but none of them work for me.

That's funny, I have the same hair. What I is do is leave a deep-conditioner in for at least 3 minutes in the shower after I wash with shampoo. I don't comb or brush my hair after I get out of the shower but what I do is let it air dry after gently ringing it out with a towel and I scrunch my hair up just a bit and let it dry like that. I'm a cosmotologist, you could get a roller set but that does last for too long just until you get wet. you could do it yourself if you know how you dont need any chemicals just wet hair, rollers, and double prong clips. or you could get a perm i know you think perms are for old people i have friends that get perms. you can also chose how you want the curl to look by choosing a size rod. a perm is about 18-30 dollars. places range. but its permanent so its worth it. hope i helped (:
