How to get light waves/curls in your hair?

i have straight hair.


i want to try something different with my hair cause i think its boring the way it is :/





i have no idea how to get light waves in my hair.





i already tried braiding my hair at night and waking up to take it out, but it gives me big *** curls that look fake.





any suggestions???

1. You could either buy a Curling Iron and curl your hair at night and sleep with it, when you wake up in the morning, you have soft curls that arn't too curly like the ones you get when you braid your hair.





2. Or you can put your hair into a messy bun and sleep with it, when you wake up, take the band off and you'll have these curls.





3. Or you could try twisting all you hair and clip it up with one of thise big clips for a day and when you let your hair down, it creats those soft curls.





Though I advise that when using the curling Iron to put some kind of condintioner (not the kind you wash you hair with), its the kind you put on before curling or straightening you hair on so that the heat won't damage your hair. You can get those at the hair salons.

three barrel curling iron. its fast and easy. i have super long pin straight hair and i use one by vidal sasoon that i got for like $17. its really easy to use and it will give you nice waves. look up different types on youtube to find the one that will give you the waves you wnat.
