How can I get my hair to be wavy when it's sooooo straight?!?

My hair is really fine and completely board straight naturally. I know, people tell me all the time they would kill for straight hair, but after 22 years of having hair thats so limp and lays flat on my head, I found some great techniques to volumize it and it helps. But I still want more body. Curling irons don't work well - the curl falls out after only an hour or so even with tons of hairspray... I don't want a perm cause I don't want it straight up curly - just some big waves would do! Any ideas for styling so I can put some body in my limp hair?!How can I get my hair to be wavy when it's sooooo straight?!?
I feel your pain. I have super straight hair too. And I made my hair wavy. Heres how:


1.)Take a shower with shampoo and conditioner.





2.) While your hair is still wet braid your hair in many little braids. All over head.





3.) Let your hair air dry.





4.) After about an hour or two take your braids off.





5.) Do not touch the waves. Let them sit for 5 mins





6.) After that gently brush with your fingers.





7.) The with hair spray, spray your hair.





If you don't have hairspray then don't move hair to much.How can I get my hair to be wavy when it's sooooo straight?!?
Rollers/curlers are amazing!! If you get the bigger sizes they give your hair tons of body and waves without it being too curly. Plus, they're cheap! :)
braid it when its wet the night before and then in the morning undo it and go to work or school. Very cute

try an crinkle iron and comb it out.
I have a straight perm so I have the same problem. Once in a while I miss my wavy hair. I found that when I sleep with it all scrunched up in a bun, I wake up with it wavy. Hope that helps.

try waving/curling them with a flat iron, add a strong hold spray.
Try Garnier Fructis Surf Hair paste. While your hair is damp, rub the paste between your palms and scrunch your hair. it works great for me and smells wonderful. You can get it at Walgreens, WalMart, etc., for less than four bucks. Hope I helped :)
braid it while its wet then take it out the next morning
Braid it the night before, then, you could keep the braid in for a couple of days. Then you take it out and put gel in it and just put gel in it for a couple of days. and maybe it'll stay like that for a couple of weeks. I tried it once.
