My hair is straight but it has a slight wave and i like it perfectly straight. I usually straighten it with a chi and i use protecting spray but i know i'm still damaging it. is there any way to get it straight without hot irons? How to get straight hair without damaging?
well, you will most likely have to use a flat iron to get it just the way you want it, but here are some suggestions that you might find make your hair straighter so that you don't have to use the flat iron as much:
*Use straightening shampoos and conditioners. i know that herbal essences makes this (dangerously straight)
and i have also seen it by sun silk. you could probably find other brands that make this type as well.
*after you get out of the shower use some type of cream that is straightening. like the hot straight or something by loreal paris. and you could also use some smoothing cream. like the got2b stylin tini stuff smoothing spray or whatever it's called, it works good. you can also use this when your hair is dry.
*and then before you straighten you can use either cream or hairspray that protects it from damage. well, some of the damage anyways.
Chi makes cream like this as does Tresemme, good luck, hope this helps you out!!

I wish...
Frizz-Ease
use protective spray.....i'm sorry everybody wants straight hair and the only thing to do is straighten it
i don't think so! deep condition twice a week (i reccomend sleek and shine garnier 3 minute masque) and use lots of heat protectant spray! if you get split ends, trim them off every month or so.
yep frizz ease products are good ^
any heat protecting creams
The only other way I know of is probably more damaging than heat styling.
That would be to get a relaxer, but that is generally for hair that is a lot more curly than yours...
It is pretty much impossible to straighten your hair without using heat. Blow-drying and flat-ironing are two of the only ways I can think of to straighten your hair, and both are damaging.
Protectant spray is good, and it will prevent some of the heat damage.
Perhaps try avoiding heat on the weekends and let your hair go ';au naturale'; when nobody is going to see you. Even just a day or two off will save your hair from breaking from heat abuse. :)
I have the same problem. You wet your hair and brush it 3-4 times as it dries. It'll be straighter when it does dry. And avoid putting your hair up.
Nahh.
Most things that get your hair straight cause damages.
Weather it's heat damage, or chemical damage.
I wish.... but you could try is to get your hair done and make it curly well not frizz but curly
you can get it permanently straightened. this will stay for about 8 monthhs, but it helps to not have to burn your hair. (:
heat protectant spray, try Coloresse, it comes in a green bottle at Sally Beauty Supply for like $5, lasts forever, and isn't greasy at all (:
