How do I get loose waves with hair that is BEYOND straight? Where do I even start?

I have naturally board straight hair, that doesn't do anything at all, except straighten. I am really wanting to do some loose waves, like jessica simpson style, but i'm scared to even try it, much less know where to start, because when i try to curl my hair, by the time i get to the top layer the bottom is already falling, not to mention adding humidity? Don't think so. Any advice? By the way, my hair is pretty long, it stops a little over half way down my back, and i don't plan on cutting it.How do I get loose waves with hair that is BEYOND straight? Where do I even start?
Hi! I had the exact same problem you do. My hair used to NEVER stay wavy at all, until I tried this.

Ok, so first to fight off humidity use some anti-humidity / anti-frizz serum or spray. Depending how thick your hair is, you could put as much in your hair that you think is needed. I have super thick hair and a nickel size amount is good enough for me. Just as long as it doesn't make your hair heavy!

Then brush through all of your hair, even if it doesn't have any knots in it. By doing this after applying the serum it keeps your hair that way when you curl it keeping the curls in longer.

After that spray a teensy weensy amount of hairspray on your hair. Make sure to get ALL of your layers so the curls will stay in everywhere. I would spray it from far away because you don't want your hair to be greasy and heavy from the hairspray.

To actually get the loose waves try these videos I LOVE them!

You need some volumizing shampoo! The best I have come across is from Oriflame.

It is called the Oriflame HairX Volume Boost range and contains a patented formula, check out the link it might be worth buying a bottle and checking it out:

try washing it ad when you get out the shower braid it in big braids and sleep over night with the braids in...
lets have a hair switch transplant %26gt;.%26gt;

lol im serious

but wet your hair and make 4 thick braids

blow dry the braids and your loose hair so it doesn't look frizzy

and let the braids loose
